Life-Stages, Transitions
& the Ageing Process

Wherever you are in life, whatever your age, different life-stages and the transitions between them can have an impact upon your mental health and sense of well-being.

 

Significant birthdays,  life changes and the process of ageing can prompt periods of anxiety, reflection and self-examination.

 

Changes in our health, in our bodies and our physical appearance are often difficult to accept and come to terms with. We can develop fears around our own and others’ mortality.

 

While it is important to reflect upon life's deeper issues and challenges, these ruminations may become an unhealthy preoccupation and taint our ability to appreciate life and live fully in the present.

 

Empty nest syndrome, becoming a new parent, job-loss and retirement can cause low mood and undermine our sense of identity and purpose in life.

 

We are experienced in helping people navigate these challenges and have had to navigate some of them ourselves.
