We are both person
...and registered members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. We have a particular interest in working with clients experiencing self-esteem, loss and relationship problems, as well as with anxiety related issues.
Michaela has a background of volunteer hospice work in addition to her wide range of other professional experience meaning she works extensively with bereavement and loss.
Julian has a lot of experience of working with clients suffering with anxiety, especially when this is linked to feelings of low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence. He also helps individuals and couples who are having relationship problems.
Although our underlying approach is Person Centred, we integrate other approaches into our practice depending on the needs of individual clients. This means that as well as helping you to explore the causes of any problems you are experiencing, we draw on a range of practical and creative approaches.
These approaches will provide you with coping strategies and techniques to use on a day-to-day basis. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and our ability to respond to the individual needs of each of our clients.
We have been married for 20 years and our careers as therapists developed in parallel, arising from our passion for helping people to live enriched lives and to progress on their life-journeys. We also have a wealth of personal and professional experience which we draw upon in our desire to provide professional and caring support for our clients.
